Car Free Me is an initiative of The University Of Queensland to support people who are still driving and gradually transitioning away from driving, as well as people who are no longer driving. Car Free Me involves weekly meetings with an a desired coach and other participants, as you learn about safe driving alternatives to support your independence and freedom when you are no longer driving.

People with severe disabilities, whose symptoms are anticipated to remain for a minimum of six months, may be eligible for half price taxi transport, with a discount of up to $25 per trip available.
